The gifts were presented to them in Lagos by State Commissioner for Information and Communication, Mr Aniekan Umanah.
The governor, who hosted a lavish traditional engagement ceremony for the celebrity couple in Eket, last week was reported to have declared a gift of a brand new Toyota Prado SUV for the couple and also vowed to sponsor 20 people to their forthcoming nuptial in Dubai.
The couple who arrived the Lagos Liaison office of the state government in the company of their friends and family were received by Umanah, Special to Assistant on Media to the governor, Jackson Udom and the Liaison Officer, Joseph Etem.
While speaking during the presentation of the car keys and the cheque, Umanah said the governor’s decision to donate wedding gifts to the new couple was to show them love and support as they begin their new marital journey.
He said it was only a gesture of love and goodwill to commend the wife for standing by her husband from his days of humble beginnings, saying governor Akpabio approved a car contrary to media reports.
2face couple expressed his appreciation and that of his wife to the Akwa Ibom governor for redeeming his pledge and said he was looking forward to his white wedding in Dubai.
“We know this is a sign of good things to happen to our family as we begin the journey. We are planning to take our white wedding to Dubai and we appreciate the governor for his kind gesture. Words cannot really explain how we feel right now for the love and support we have received so far since the pronouncement of the wedding,’’ 2face stated

DEVILS ARE NOW PASTORS IN NIGERIA...Tunde Bakare

"If the devil becomes a pastor, Nigerians will attend his church, because they don’t know the true church and they cannot distinguish it from the synagogue of satan." -PASTOR TUNDE BAKARE SPEAKING ON APC MERGER PARTY

QUESTION: The 2015 elections are two years away. Are you contemplating participating in active politics again?

BAKARE:I don’t pray we continue like this till 2015. My prayer is that there should be deliverance before that time, because if we continue like this, then there will be self-fulfilling of the prophecy of disintegration.

QUESTION: Are you talking about change of government or revolution?

BAKARE: Whatever it is, this madness must not continue.

QUESTION: So, you are not sure if you will participate in the 2015 elections?

BAKARE: With who? The collection of rogues, right, left and central?

QUESTION: Even with the progressives?

BAKARE: Who are the progressives in Nigeria; mention their names? Are you persuaded that they are progressives, progressive where, taking you where?

QUESTION: The progressives who formed the All Progressive Congress (APC).

BAKARE: If the devil becomes a pastor, Nigerians will attend his church, because they don’t know the true church and they cannot distinguish it from the synagogue of satan. Some of these governors are far richer than their states, because they are looting their states dry.

I read in the newspaper that former of Lagos State, Bola Tinubu do not own Oriental Hotel, Shoprite and others.

Who is interested in this in a decent society? Something is wrong; do they say Obafemi Awolowo owns the Cocoa House in Ibadan?

Has anybody alleged that? Do they say that his wife owns the Premier Hotel in Ibadan? The reason why you have to deny this is that your hands are not clean.

QUESTION: In the build up to the 2011 presidential election, there were reports that the leaders of the ACN gave a condition to back General Buhari; that you should write your resignation letter as vice president even before the election. Would you now be comfortable with the same group of people in the merger arrangement?

BAKARE: My dear friend, anybody can ask you to do anything they considered in their own best interest and it is left for you to see whether it is in your own interest. It is true they asked me to sign a letter resigning the post of vice presidential candidate of CPC and Vice President of Nigeria. And I prepared my own letter and I said to General Buhari and the CPC, if you don’t want me to be your candidate any more, you are free any time.

But I am not going to resign as Vice President of Nigeria, because I have not occupied that office. And they said that is what they want. I said, look this man will not bend his rule; I don’t want to join the perjurers who are no longer electable in Nigeria but want to destroy the opportunity of other people.

Sitting on the table with these people means nothing to me. I am not part of the merger committee. If the merger is being put together for the development of our nation and our people, may God let it succeed, but if is to continue this foolish, crazy, greedy aggrandizement, God will overturn it.

If merger has been put together by good people, it will deepen our democracy, at least we will develop a two-party system in Nigeria. But I don’t see the difference between the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governors and the so-called progressive governors. You can ask question how much is the kilometers of road awarded as contract in Oyo State and who is doing the road. It is not Bayelsa where you will say there is too much water there.

Where are the progressive governors? These ones who are fruitful and everyone wants to buy his own private jet once he is out of office, how much were they worth before they came into power?

And how do they come by their massive wealth now that they are bragging all around?

I desire to see in my life time, a nation that works and I pray that God will give grace and opportunity to people who can make it work. I am not saying if a person like me is not there it won’t work. There are thousand others who are better than I am in this country, God will bring those ones into power.

QUESTION: Do you think Nigerians are prepared for a change?

BAKARE: It depends on what change we are thinking about. We can change for the worse. We are miles away. We are dancing into the lagoon and into the woods everyday. The blind is leading the seeing in Nigeria. But why will the seeing allow the blind to lead them? The moment they get there they change.

Even you now interviewing me, the moment they make you a Commissioner for Information, it is an opportunity for enjoyment. All the things you have written against me you will change. Ask Reuben Abati. Men have lost their honour because of temporary power. Must you sell your birthright because of a pot of porridge?

THE YAHOO OF MOTIVATIONAL SPEAKERS!

Everybody is now a motivational Speaker. Who is a motivational speaker by the way? I met a young graduate who I asked of his job and he told me he is a motivational speaker. I am confused now seriously. Please all the youths out there, be careful of who you listen to especially during all these mushroom and money making ventures through seminars and conferences that lack substance and results. If you are a professional, successful business runner, a successful entrepreneur, I can listen to you because there is something in your hand that you can show. But for all these young graduates who just package themselves in TM Lewin shirt and suits deceiving young ones with one American theory they read on internet, please this is Africa. A George Bush in America can become a president but in Africa, if he doesn't pray very well, he will end up in the Bush. Please may I advice our young ones to be serious with their destinies by facing what they are created to do in life.

Peter Daniels (Australian) is a world leading public speaker but don't forget he is also a manufacturing expert with Ford Motors. Myles Munroe is public speaker known to several governments and world leaders yet he is pastor of a big church, own a freight/cargo company. Sam Adeyemi is a Motivational Speaker but also pasturing some thousands of people. Kunle Soriyan is a deep and sound public speaker, also a property business guru. Adeolu Akinyemi is a Motivational Speaker and also a financial investment expert. These great men have something doing with their hands and they are responsible in showing others how to make money practically.

LOVE FOR SALE PART 2

Love for sale! It’s amazing when you take a look at the facts about sales of some particular items at valentine. The volume of sales of these items have been known to hit record high synonymous with valentine season i.e. between 12 – 14 February every calendar year. It must indeed be, love for sale, or what do you think? How beautiful love is if shown and shared rightly. Did God (love personified 1 Jh. 4:8), make a commerce or merchandize of Jesus when he sent him, out of love to us (Jh. 3:16)? How much chocolate, roses or dinners would you have paid to God to buy his love? A lot goes into the celebration of love on Valentine’s Day beloved (recall the origin in our opening). If we are the light of the world, then we must (like the original valentines), be torch bearers, direction-givers to the world on how to celebrate love. The bible says we should not be conformed to the practices of this world; we should come out from amongst them and be different, separate and unique.
Love in itself is such a deep and wide issue that does not bother only on relationships but we talk about love for our nation for instance, for humanity, which propels us to do the extraordinary in order to make a difference, like bishop valentine who defied the king’s unrighteous decree against young marriageable men. This valentine, we encourage you take a deeps, look into the meaning of love in all it’s ramification and truly make an Endeavour to love not just in worlds but in deeds, not just on February 14th , but for the 365 calendar days. Keep this atmosphere alive in your life in every way. The love we know to share or show, whether with our spouse (or spouse-to-be), neighbor, family members, friends, has no commercial undertone to it. This love is selfless, sacrificial, unconditional, unlimited (i.e. not limited to February 14), boundless (i.e. not only to a lover, spouse or known person).
We would make a difference to the world every February 14th if we spread and share love to the destitute the poor, hungry, widowed, hospitalized, incarcerated, orphans, disable, aged, etc. February 14th can just be a day we die to self for others. We may choose instead (on personal levels) a day, season or times when we show love to our spouses without any form of merchandizing. This is one way we can choose not to conform to the patterns of this world. God truly wants us to live as light in the world (Isa. 60:2-3).
VAL JOKE:
I will die 4 you in the spirit of valentine, a Nigeria man expressing love to his wife: “I love you; you are my heart beat, soul & body. What will I have been without you? In fact, I will die for you” the wife responded: “God forbid! You will not die o! Who will take care of the kids?” somewhere in US, another man was also appreciating his wife on vals day, using the same words, “I love…….. I will die for you”. His American wife’s response was, “How soon? Because properties will change hands”
Emperor or Oba 1 0805-633-1127.
Did You Know That…..? For there is nothing…….. Hid, that shall not be know (Mt. 10:26)
Approximately one billion valentine cards are exchange each year…. The largest seasonal card-selling occasion of the year next to Christmas. Are you a part of this one billion?
Engrave in your heart….. Write them upon the table of thine heart (prov.3:3)
Love is not blind – it sees more, not less. But because it sees more, it is willing to see less.
When I think about Valentine's Day, a day when people give special love gifts to one another, I think most of all about God's great gift to us in the form of His son, Jesus. Then I think of how all the love that we feel for others on Valentine’s Day and every day of the year is possible because of His love. There’s no time for Him that isn’t a time to give. I want to follow His example as much as I can.
I found a poem that was very meaningful to me and expresses some of the gifts we receive from our great Valentine every day of the year. When our love cups are overflowing with His gifts, it makes us want to share that love with others so they can experience it too.
Here’s the poem:
He doesn’t bring me roses,
For He is my Rose of Sharon.
Nor does He leave flowers at my door,
For He grows them in my garden.
He doesn’t kiss my lips,
For He caresses my entire being with the touch of warm sunshine and softly falling rain.
He doesn’t give me sparkling diamonds to wear,
For He set the sparkling stars in the night sky and made them mine.
He doesn’t whisper in my ear,
For His still, small voice fills my spirit and is ever with me.
He isn’t a Valentine who has pledged lifelong love,
For He is eternal love.
He isn’t limited to only sending gifts or making sweet promises,
For He Himself is the ultimate gift and fulfillment of promise.
He won’t fill my life by standing at the wedding altar with me.
For He placed Himself on the altar, that I may know life, that I may know Him,
That I may love Him forever.
Jesus I love you.
